  • Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am.

Property Access

  • Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, the Wine & Cigar Bar, or The River Club Lodge. These areas require a membership and are not available for guests.
  • There is a camera on the front door to monitor the front entrance. No other cameras point at the home or at any of the common areas.
  • Guests have access to most amenities inside Eagles Nest as well as the River Club amenities, with the exceptions noted above.
  • Community firepit next to the river (firewood ordered would be delivered to the home, not the fire pit site).
  • Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals, please visit the Off Road Adventures website.
  • All bedrooms and bathrooms are located in the house as described in the property details.

Policies and Rules

  • Minimum age to reserve: 25 years. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
  • No smoking allowed inside or outside the home.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • Pets: This home allows up to 1 mature, well-trained dog with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
  • All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.

Fees and Payments

  • There is an additional $35 per night amenity fee (maximum $175) in order to maintain the facilities and features in the development.
  • OFF-PEAK SPECIAL: Stay longer than the minimum number of nights and automatically receive a 5-15% discount, excluding holidays.
  • Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
  • Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each. HOURS: Thur & Fri 4pm-10pm. Sat & Sun 1pm-7pm. All visitors on premise at the Winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.
  • Pet Fee: $25.00 per night plus tax for one mature, well-trained dog.
  • The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there may be an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.
  • Cancellation Policy: Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Parking Information

  • Free parking is available.
  • Roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March. Chains may also be necessary to access the property in winter months.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains are recommended during winter (November-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • There is no land-line phone in this cabin.
  • All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
  • All homes provide towels, bed linens, climate control, high-speed internet, dishwasher, washer, dryer, oven, stove, smoke alarm, and carbon monoxide detector.
  • Kitchens are stocked with cooking basics and utensils. There is also a starter set of paper products provided: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. These supplies are for one to two nights. Hair dryers are not provided. Towels and linens will be provided.
  • Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.).
  • Fishing in the Elk River is catch and release only, using artificial bait with barbless hooks. All anglers must have a valid NC fishing license on their person anytime they are fishing.
  • 2000 feet of private, pristine headwaters of the Elk River for catch and release of trophy trout.
  • Stocked fishing ponds for catch and release fishing.

Safety and Emergency Information

  • There is a camera on the front door to monitor the front entrance. No other cameras point at the home or at any of the common areas.
  • Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are provided.
